The use of various composition media and additional compost to stimulate the growth of jabon putih (Neolamarckia cadamba (Roxb.) Bosser) seedlings

Jabon putih (Neolamarckia cadamba (Roxb.) Bosser) is a species of forest plant that widely grown for pulp raw material paper and carpentry wood, in plantation forests, village community lands, so it necessary to prepare good quality seedlings. This research was conducted the propagation jabon seedlings by stimulating their growth using various media compositions compost doses. carried out nursery area Environmental Forestry Research Development Center Makassar three months, from October 2019 January 2020. study used completely randomized design with factorial pattern four replications. The treatment consisting soil, sand, husks as first factor, dose second factor. variables observed were including height, stem diameter, number leaves. interaction composition had significant effect on nursery. best mixture husks, sand ratio 2:1:1 provision 40 g per polybag, which could increase seedling height 68.62%.
